Sydney based company Zip Sheets manufactures and sells unique, patented zippered sheet sets through an ecommerce store in Australia, and through licensed distributors internationally. Owner Anthony Davis purchased the business in 2017 from the founder and has expanded the product range and target markets. He contacted Commonsense Marketing in mid 2020 and asked us to assess the website performance and provide recommendations for achieving growth.

Key Issues

We undertook an indepth analysis of the site and marketing and the key issues were:

Visitors were finding it difficult to navigate the site and there were too many steps in the online sales process
The product groupings and product information was a little confusing
The website had not been optimised for SEO and was slow to load
The branding needed to be updated to reflect the expansion into new product ranges
There were no marketing campaigns in place to build relationships with prospects and customers

The Solution

We followed our process, beginning with a Clarity session, where all of us gained clarity around the four target markets, product benefits, the customer journey and growth objectives.

In the Create stage we undertook the following work:

Updated the website design and functionality to provide a more enhanced user experience
Rewrote all website copy to be inspiring, helpful, relevant to each target market and succinct
Updated all presentation of all products and simplified the purchase process
Updated analytics and conversion tracking to provide accurate reports
Integrated website with a CRM system, and developed a range of email marketing campaigns to prospects and customers
Designed new social media assets to reflect the expanded product range
Provided onsite SEO for every page, post and product

Since the launch of the new website and marketing assets, we have continued to provide Zip Sheets with website hosting and care services, and marketing campaigns.
